From a very early age Lianne took an interest in music and performing. At the age of sixteen Lianne began studying operatic vocal repertoire with her singing teacher Elin Davis. Now aged twenty three she has just completed a four year music degree at Birmingham Conservatoire studying Vocal and Opera studies with soprano Rita Cullis, whom she has been taught by throughout her course at Birmingham. As well as this Lianne has received coaching from some of the top names in classical music including Stephen Barlow, Jane Robinson, Helen Yorke and Robin Bowman. She also received brilliant language tuition in German, French and Italian.

Lianne has recently appeared as the Second Woman in the world premier performance of David Blake and Keith Warner’s ‘Scoring A Century’. Other notable performances during her time at the Conservatoire have been portraying the roles of Musetta and Mimi ‘La Bohème’ in two different productions of Opera Scenes, and the Second Lady in ‘The Magic Flute’ at the Crescent Theatre, conducted by Stephen Barlow. Externally, Lianne has sung the soprano solo in Mendelssohn’s Elijah, has appeared in Symphony Hall as part of the ripieno chorus in Bach’s St Matthew Passion and sang solos for Bewdley Choral Society in a concert entitled A Night at The Opera.

Her teaching experience has included helping out at summer schools, teaching pupils privately and passing competently the teaching part of her degree at Birmingham. Lianne is a very experienced performer and she particularly enjoys passing on her knowledge to those at an earlier stage in their career by offering her knowledge through teaching. So if you think you could do with a fabulous leading lady, call Solo Teachers today!
