Shylo was born in South Africa. Discovering her musical talents and creative energies, Shylo started playing the violin and piano at the age of 4, and at the age of 9, she realised she had vocal talent and won her first provincial competition. She also played in the South African Orchestra for 4 years and won the International Instrumentalist's Award, at 14.

In 2001, Shylo was accepted in to The Academy of Contemporary Music, Surrey, where she met fellow musicians, performers and songwriters, and gained a BA Honours Degree in Contemporary Performing Arts graduating with a 2:1.

In 2005, Shylo traveled to Scandinavia, to work with Swedish production team, Redfly. She has worked alongside other music producers across the United Kingdom and has gained valuable session singing experience by working with some of the world's leading producers.

She continues to teach pupils of all ages and levels and also specialises in further and higher music education workshops, focusing on Music composition and Songwriting.

Shylo hopes to guide pupils with enthusiasm, confidence and enrichment through her teaching and here at Solo Teachers we have no doubt that Shylo will guide all pupils in to the performance spotlight.
